This is a brilliantly funny and hope inducing documentary about the crazy and courageous Yes Men. You can download the whole film for free from Vodo at http://vo.do/9Chl. If you like it you can donate there, or on their official website: http://theyesmen.org/

commented Invite to filmnight
Hi michuk, thanks for a great film night the other day! :) I came here to rate the films that we saw, but I just can't remember the names.. So then it hit me: Wouldn't it be great if you could use Filmaster to easily send out invitations to a filmnight? The easiest thing to do would be to just make it possible to make a list of films, and send it with some additional text (hi, welcome, it will be great, bring chips, etc.) to your friends on Filmaster (PM) and off (e-mail, maybe Fb etc). Then,

commented Integration with Vodo
No, I don't know anyone there, sorry. There's been quite a few articles on them and their releases at torrentfreak.com. I would not be surprised if they would mention it if Vodo teams up with a FLOSS movie recomandation service too.

Filmaster should definitely integrate with Vodo in some way! So that every page for a Vodo released film here on Filmaster automatically links to the Vodo page for downloading. Maybe also have a direct download and donate button right here on the FIlmaster page? Maybe you could cooperate with Vodo in some way, so that they also automatically link to the Filmaster page from all their film pages? http://vo.do/
Download the movie for free, read viewers reviews, and donate towards the making of a new movie. Read the review

added a trailer of The Lives of Others
This movie is well known as The Good, the bad and the ugly. But here it's called "The Good, the Ugly, the Bad". Why is that?
I felt that there where a bit too many plot holes in this movie. And the voice of the captor was pretty bad. Made me think of the documentary Reel bad Arabs. Still a good movie in many ways, both as a political commentary (on more than just war) and as a very human drama. And the ending is very intense and good.

This movie is awesome!

Totoro and the other creatures are very cute and loveable. But still I really missed more of a story in this film. There's not any progress at all.

Nice plot, but way, way too slow!

Sad, but beautiful. Made my eyes wet a few times. Quite slow, but never boring.

commented "scrobbling" films
Yes, a VLC plugin would be nice for Windows and Mac OS, but on Linux (at least Gnome), a Zeitgeist plugin would be better because it would instantly work with any media player. No extra plugins or anything would be needed (at least I think so. I don't know if Zeitgeist can tell how much of a film has been played.)

It would be cool if films I watch could automatically be added to my collection here on Filmaster, like scrobbling adds the music you listen to to Last.fm or Libre.fm. I'm thinking that maybe you could do that without having to make a plugin for all possible video players by making it a plugin for Zeitgeist (in Gnome/Linux). But plugins for video players could maybe be used for giving a rating to the film you're watching right now, plus a (short) review, directly from the player, while watching
The story is really bad. I'm not talking about the everyone going blind part, of course. That's the whole point. But a lot of the rest is really bad. And the ending is really stupid (I'm sure you can guess what it is). It could've been good, because the main plot is quite interesting and quite a lot of the screenplay is very nice. But that's overshadowed by the stupidity and how meaningless the ending makes it feel. Don't waste your time on this. Read The Day of the Triffids instead.

commented Support OStatus for remote subscription to reviews
It would be cool if I could use other websites, like Identi.ca, to subscribe to peoples reviews here on Filmaster. This could be accomplished by supporting OStatus: http://status.net/wiki/OStatus
