Why We Fight (2005)

The very important story about the connection between 9/11 and the war against Iraq (none) is told very well in this documentary.

The Yes Men Fix the World (2009)

This is a brilliantly funny and hope inducing documentary about the crazy and courageous Yes Men. You can download the whole film for free from Vodo at http://vo.do/9Chl. If you like it you can donate there, or on their official website: http://theyesmen.org/

Buried (2010)

I felt that there where a bit too many plot holes in this movie. And the voice of the captor was pretty bad. Made me think of the documentary Reel bad Arabs.

Still a good movie in many ways, both as a political commentary (on more than just war) and as a very human drama. And the ending is very intense and good.

My Neighbor Totoro (1988)

Totoro and the other creatures are very cute and loveable. But still I really missed more of a story in this film. There's not any progress at all.

Nine Queens (2000)

Nice plot, but way, way too slow!

Departures (2008)

Sad, but beautiful. Made my eyes wet a few times. Quite slow, but never boring.

Blindness (2008)

The story is really bad. I'm not talking about the everyone going blind part, of course. That's the whole point. But a lot of the rest is really bad. And the ending is really stupid (I'm sure you can guess what it is). It could've been good, because the main plot is quite interesting and quite a lot of the screenplay is very nice. But that's overshadowed by the stupidity and how meaningless the ending makes it feel. Don't waste your time on this. Read The Day of the Triffids instead.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009)

I love the first movie! But I was very disappointed by this one.

You, the Living (2007)

A very quiet movie. You have to take the time to enjoy the minimalistic aesthetics of the scenes. Very funny at times (at least to a Scandinavian like me :)), and quite tragic. Well worth your time.

Chemical 51 (2001)

This movie sucks! There's only one good scene in it, and it consists of one situation, and _one_ sentence. Do yourself a favor; watch something else.

Arn: The Knight Templar (2007)

I've heard that the books are great, but this movie is so slow that I continued my reading of Sandman while watching parts of it. My advice: Read the books or watch another movie.

Little Red (2005)

This movie is quite funny, and the music is great!

Big Buck Bunny (2008)

The animation is fantastic. To think that this whole short has been made with the Free/Open Source 3D app Blender, and that all the data has been released under a Creative Commons license is amazing.

The Boondock Saints (1999)

This is a fantastic movie. Must-see!

Black Hawk Down (2001)

This movie portraits the USA as heroes when they where actually the villains. If you want to watch it just as an action movie, that's ok, but please read this first to get the facts straight: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Hawk_Down_(film)#Controversy

Look up the Battle of Mogadishu for more.

What Would Jesus Buy? (2007)

Funny and thought provoking movie about Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir on their mission to prevent the Shopocalypse.

Lost in Translation (2003)

I watched half of this movie last night, but I just couldn't take anymore. This is one boring movie.

The World According to Monsanto (2008)

This is a very, very important documentary! Watch it and give it to your friends.

Naqaab (2007)

This movie has an interesting twist that I've never seen in a film before.
